Lonely Can be Sweet

"Please come sit down
I need to set you straight
Before we go any further
I've learned from loneliness
That lonely can be better and lonely can be sweet
Sure, I dont need a man to be complete
And I also know that what I want and what I need don't always
meet
But being alone ain't all that bad
"Cause see I've been there and I've done that
I'm in the midst an evolution to myself
I was tired of the search
So I had to sit it on the shelf
Lonely can be sweet
I hab been looking for my comboy
Like that girl says in that song
"Where have all comboys gone?"
In my former life
My once comboys have gone hoochie hopping and car shopping
Riding their egos like wild horses
On collision courses with their machismo
While I slow slaughtered
As their valor and virtue drowned in deep water (deep water)
So, I decided to chill with me for the moment
And play my own violins
Strike me own candlelights
So every night is my night
Are You listening?
I need to be completely sure that You are listening
I used to think that the moon's name might as well have been
Lonely
Now I sip my night full
Like I were blackberry marsala
Then lick the excess of my lips
So as not to waste one drop of it sweetness
I sastisfy my wonderlust with with the wildness of the night
And the comfort of my self
I've taken up hedonism as hobby
And made it harder for the next man
To step into my life without plan
For how to please me better then I please myself
So If You've come without a plan
Then make a swift retreat 'cause
Lonely can be Sweet"
